Misc
*In 2016 I got to lend a small hand in helping the very talented Gregory Warner develop a new show for NPR that is now called Rough Translation. The first story that we worked on together for that series was eventually edited by the folks at Invisibilia and featured in their episode called Outside In.
* I occasionally write about producing ambitious podcasts for the website (and indispensable resource for audio makers) Transom.org.
* The kind folks at Dedee Shattuck Gallery included some of my photos and experimentations in audio art from Iraq in their show Witness to Conflict: The Art of Documentary.
* I assisted Sabrina Tavernise (one of my favorite reporters in the world) in researching a New York Times profile of Ben Shapiro.
* Back in 2013 film maker Bianca Giaever asked me to go over to fashion designer Rachel Antonoff's apartment to help interview and record her parents talking about how they fell in love. Bianca and Rachel then turned that interview into this short film called Crush featuring a bunch of talented people including Rachel's brother Jack, Jenny Slate and Gillian Jacobs.
* I spent election day 2016, creating this audio time capsule for the limited NYTimes series The Run Up.
* When I was first learning how to make radio/podcast/audio-stuff, I interviewed my 6 year old neighbor about why she liked Christmas and then my friends and I turned her answers into this joyful song/story/audio-art thing that remains one of my favorite things I've ever made: I Don't Know.
* Those same friends and I started traveling around the country doing house shows where (alongside their music) we performed these strange song/story/audio-art things and eventually we recorded one of them called Kohn.
